Dr. Kitamura was a doctor working at the Colinas de Oro War Relocation Center, a Japanese internment camp.

On The Terror: Infamy, Dr. Kitamura is portrayed by Hiro Kanagawa.

History[]

After the pregnant Luz Ojeda had a fall, she sought his services in the infirmary of the Colinas de Oro War Relocation Center. She wanted him to examine her baby, only for him to simply give her a band-aid, possibly due to her being a Mexican-American in a Japanese-American camp. When her boyfriend, Chester Nakayama, arrived, he demanded that he give her a full examination. He had her lie down, felt her belly and used an instrument to listen. He stated that the baby was healthy with a strong heartbeat. A few days later, Ojeda showed Chester's mother Asako some blood on a towel and asked if there were any other doctors in the camp, as she did not want to see Dr. Kitamura again. ("Gaman")

Death of Dr Kitamura

Dr. Kitamura is possessed to kill himself

Luz learns from Yuko Tanabe that she is carrying twins. When the time comes for the birth, she goes to see Dr. Kitamura, along with Nurse Hasegawa. He is not confident about the delivery, as while he delivered babies in medical school, he has never delivered twins. Despite this, he goes ahead with doing the delivery. During this, Tanabe, an undead spirit (yurei), takes possession of Hasegawa to monitor things. Both babies are delivered stillborn, and Kitamura makes no real effort to try to save them. Later, Tanabe appears before him, calling him a murderer. She takes possession of him and forces him to cut himself open as if having a C-section, killing him. ("The Weak Are Meat")
