Nurse Hasegawa was a nurse who worked under Dr. Kitamura at the Colinas de Oro War Relocation Center, a Japanese internment camp, during World War II.
On The Terror: Infamy, Nurse Hasegawa was portrayed by Emi Kamito.
History[]
Nurse Hasegawa was present when the pregnant Luz Ojeda sought the services of Dr. Kitamura to examine her baby after she took a fall, only for Kitamura to simply try to give her a band-aid and send her on her way. She seemed largely subservient to Kitamura and did not attempt to intervene. ("Gaman")
She was later present when Luz's water broke and she came to him to deliver her children, having learned that she was actually carrying twins. When Kitamura told her to get some linens, she went to a back room, where she encountered Yuko Tanabe, a yurei, or undead spirit. Tanabe took possession of her in order to watch over the birth, but was unable to prevent Luz's children from being stillborn under the negligent care of Kitamura, who seemed to resent Luz for being a Mexican American in a Japanese American internment camp.
