The Terror is a horror drama anthology series broadcast on AMC. The story of The Terror in season 1 is an adaptation of the book by Dan Simmons, based on the real-life events of Captain John Franklin and his ill-fated 1840s voyage to explore the Northwest Passage, a journey from which he and his crew would never return.
The Terror: Infamy is set during World War II and centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community and a young man’s journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible. This second season of the series premiered August 12, 2019 on AMC and concluded on October 14, 2019. The second season features George Takei (Star Trek) as a major cast member and explores the devastating effects of Japanese internment camps on Japanese-American citizens, set alongside a fictional story of unusual paranormal events.
