Thomas Farr is a minor character in AMC's The Terror. He is the captain of the maintop on HMS Terror.
In The Show[]
Farr is mentioned in a conversation between cabin boys David Young and Robert Golding in episode 1. David says that he had been talking with Farr about how far away King William Island is to the Canadian mainland.
Farr's first physical appearance is in episode 7 where he is part of a party consisting of Cornelius Hickey and John Irving. Hickey stabbed Farr to death and then stabbed Irving not long afterwards, but he is seen last when Lady Silence is being questioned about his and John Irving's murder.
In The Book[]
Thomas Farr isn't murdered by Hickey in the novel, in fact he is among the last survivors of the expedition that makes it to mainland Canada before dying with the rest.
