The Translator is a minor and unnamed character in AMC's The Terror.
Background[]
The translator first appears in episode 1 when he translates the Netsilik Hunter's story about the fate of the Franklin Expedition to Sir James Clark Ross. He later appears at the end of episode 10 along with Ross and it's revealed the story the hunter is telling is actually a lie from Captain Francis Crozier who is sitting outside listening to the conversation before walking away.
