William Orren is a minor character in AMC's The Terror. He is an able seaman on HMS Erebus.
In The Show[]
Orren First appears in episode 1 when Second Master Henry Collins tells him to go up on the main mast to secure a rope with another sailor, and Orren complies. Later, Erebus hits some ice and Orren who is still on the mast, falls overboard and into the water. After several unsuccessful attempts to save him, Orren succumbs to hypothermia and drowns. Much later in the episode, when Collins is freeing ice from the propeller, he spots Orren's corpse floating in the water, and gets scared by it.
In The Book[]
Unlike his counterpart in the show, Orren doesn't die in the beginning. Instead he is one of the men who joins Cornelius Hickey's Mutiny.
