Wilson Yoshida was a Japanese American man living on Terminal Island. He was married to Fumi Yoshida and had a son and daughter, Walt and Amy Yoshida.
On The Terror: Infamy, Wilson Yoshida is portrayed by James Saito.
History[]
His son Walt Yoshida was getting married soon, but he was unaware that he had a bachelor party in a brothel, thinking that he was going out to see a movie. He also did not know that his daughter, Amy was dating a hakujin (white person) and would have been shocked to learn so. ("A Sparrow in a Swallow’s Nest")
Following Executive Order 9066, he and his family along with the other Japanese Americans living on Terminal Island, were forced to temporarily relocate to the Hidden Gate Farms, a horse-racing track and live in horse stables. There, he encountered a woman, Yuko Tanabe, whom he seemed to recognize and fear. He warned Chester Nakayama to get away, but before he could explain further, Tanabe, a bakemono, took possession of him. Under her control, he picked up a gun and aimed it at a group of U.S. MPs, who fired and killed him when he would not put it down. As he died, he tried to give a final warning to Chester.
When his daughter Amy boarded the bus to the Japanese internment camp, the Colinas de Oro War Relocation Center, she tried to take along his suitcases, only to be told by the soldier who killed him that only two suitcases were allowed to person. Upset, she slammed his suitcases to the ground before boarding the bus. ("All the Demons Are Still in Hell")
